Ms. Tara Cole Nagle
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at SFMS!
I currently teach the sixth grade enrichment classes, Skills & Strategies and Current Events. It is my privilege to introduce units on goal-setting, organizational skills, reading and test-taking strategies, and an introduction to a wide spectrum of career clusters and occupations. In Skills and Strategies, students' critical thinking skills are honed through a variety of learning modalities - kinesthetic, auditory, visual...whatever helps bring the learning to life. For our career focus, we invite exciting guest speakers into our classroom to share their experiences, to broaden our understanding of education, training and related career paths, and to inspire us with real-world insight.
My prior experience in the classroom is vast and varied. Over the years, I have gained invaluable experience in both rural and inner-city settings, and have spent time in every grade level. I also gained a lot of knowledge and joy through instructing students with special needs, such as autism.
We love Baldwin County and we love our very special Spanish Fort family. GO TOROS!!
Our best teachers do more than impart facts and figures - they inspire and encourage students and instill a true desire to learn. That's a fine art in itself. ~S.Perdue
The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows. ~S.Harris
Most people who succeed in the face of seemingly impossible conditions are people who simply don't know how to quit. ~R.Shuller
