I grew up in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Central High School in 1992. I took some time off to be a chef and builder before returning to Tuscaloosa and earning my Bachelor's from the University of Alabama. I then began my teaching career at Tuscaloosa Middle School and continued at Southview Middle School. Shortly after the Tornado, my family and I moved to the Gulf Coast where I completed my Master's in Education Leadership from South Alabama while teaching at Fairhope Middle School. Last year, I began teaching at Gulf Shores High School where I remain and currently teach English 10 and Guided Reading. I will also serve as the Scholar's Bowl sponsor and 10th grade Academic Grade Level Leader this year. I have an inspirational wife, Amanda, and two wonderful children, Alexander and Izzy, who amaze me every day. I am thrilled to be a part of such a vibrant school and community and can't wait to see what the 2017-2018 school year brings!
