Hi! I am so very excited to be at Daphne High School! This is my second year at DHS, but my 15th year teaching. I taught high school biology in Mobile County for 10 years, and then spent three teaching Biology and Anatomy and Physiology at Alabama Southern Community College (now a part of Coastal) in Monroeville. While I did enjoy teaching college, I missed the Gulf Coast, and the community feeling that comes with teaching high school.

I am currently teaching IB, Honors, and Standard Biology. This year I have the pleasure of being a part of our awesome intramural Quidditch program as the Ravenclaw Head of House. I am super excited about this new adventure. I am also a junior class sponsor.
About me:

I was born and raised in a tiny rural county in northwest Alabama, and moved to Mobile to complete my undergraduate degree at the University of South Alabama. I obtained a B.S. in Biology (Marine) with a minor in Chemistry in 2004. Upon graduation, I immediately started teaching, and obtained my first teaching certificate through an alternative route. In 2009 I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Secondary Biology from University of West Alabama. I am currently a class away from obtaining my Ed.S. in Secondary Biology from the University of Alabama.

I currently live in Daphne with my husband and two children. We love life in Daphne! When I’m not at school, I enjoy being outdoors. The beach is my favorite place, and I go as often as I can! I spend most of time playing with my kids, and taking them on various road trips and adventures!

Be kind, and remember that mistakes are proof that you are trying! Oh, and ROLL TIDE!
