Welcome to Spanish Fort High School, home of the Toros!!  We are so excited about the 2017-18 school year and I hope you are too!  Last year was an excellent year for our school and I look forward to an even better year this year.

In the spring of 2017, our school was awarded a Bronze Medal by US News and World Report as one of the top high schools in the state of Alabama...and also the nation.  From academics to athletics, we take a great deal of pride in ensuring that our students excel in everything they do.

Academically, our AP scores this past year were among the best in the state of Alabama.  As a whole, our students had a 68 percent pass rate on these exams...well above the 44 percent average in the state.  We also have fantastic career tech offerings including a revamped Engineering program and a brand new Sports Medicine program.

Athletically, our sports programs have won 15 state championships in multiple sports over our school's brief 12-year history.  We have also been named state-runner up five times as well.  That makes a total of 19 first or second place finishes covering a variety of sports since 2005.  Statistics like this are almost unheard of and certainly make us proud to be Toros!!

While academics and athletics determine a lot of our success, our school would not be what it is without our excellent fine arts programs and our engaging extracurricular activities.  Our band and chorus programs are some of the best in the state of Alabama.  Both programs routinely earn superior ratings in all of their competitions and it is a pleasure to hear them perform.  Spanish Fort High School also has a tremendous variety of club offerings for students to get involved in.  This includes our ever popular Project Outreach club which unites special needs students with their typical peers for the betterment of them both.  This club is truly what makes our school so special and I am so proud to be a part of this each and every day.

I look forward to a great school year and I hope to see you at some of our events.  We take great pride in our school, and I hope you get to experience what all of the excitement is about.  Please contact us if we can ever be of asssitance and as always...Go Toros!!!

    Sincerely,

    Brian Williamson, Principal
