Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Vironica Simmons

I’m Mrs. Simmons.  Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child.  It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!!  I thought you might like to know a little about me.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Tim.  We have two daughters.  Abby is in the fourth grade and Elizabeth, who is in the second grade.   They are both here at Summerdale School.  They take up most of my free time, but some hobbies that I enjoy are cooking and reading.

I have lived in Baldwin County most of my life.  I attended Summerdale School (K-6th), Central Baldwin Middle School and graduated from Robertsdale High School.  I graduated from Judson College in 2004, the University of West Florida in 2007, and Arkansas State in 2017.  My parents still live in Summerdale.

This will be my first year teaching Second Grade.  Before that, I was an Instructional Coach at Swift School in Bon Secour for five years.  I have also taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and a Kindergarten/First Grade combination class at Swift School.  It is my mission to instill a love of learning in my students.  I attempt to teach with a passion for my subjects so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is so important to keep communication open between us, and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need!  I look forward to a great year together!
