I am originally from Ohio.  I earned by Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal Communication, Human Service tract, from Ohio University and have 10 years of experience in early childhood education in Ohio.  I moved to Alabama in 2006 and earned by Master degree in Collaborative Education from Troy University.  While earning my MSEd, I taught grades 3-9 at Vivian B. Adams School in Ozark, Alabama.  This is a center school for special education.  I relocated to Pensacola, Florida in 2011 and taught at Westgate Center School for grades 2-6.  This is also a special education school.  During my time at Westgate, I attended University of Florida and obtained a Specialist degree in Special Education.  I accepted a teaching position here at DES in October 2016 and I absolutely love everything about it!!  I live in Pensacola and in my free time, I enjoy browsing antique stores, reading, traveling, and spending time with my 3 adult children.
