Ms. Robinson


Ms. Robinson was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She was awarded a  theatre scholarship to  attend Birmingham-Southern College and graduated with a triple major in English, Speech Communication, and Theatre.

Ms. Robinson taught at Thom Howard Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, for ten years where she became Assistant Director. A move to Orlando, Florida, allowed her to take a position at Lake Highland Preparatory School where she taught English 10, Honors English 10, and Composition. While there she and her fellow English teachers presented professional papers at conferences at Cambridge University in England and here at home at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. Another move landed her in Bedford, Indiana, at Bedford North Lawrence High School where she taught English, Bible As/in Literature, Speech, and Speech for College. In addition, she was the instructor for Advanced Placement College Composition for Indiana University.

 Ms. Robinson is grateful to be back in Sweet Home Alabama and that “all roads led to Elberta!” Three years ago she joined the Elberta staff and currently serves  as both  the middle and high school Curriculum Leader. According to Ms. Robinson, space does not permit her to list all the many reasons she loves Elberta and loves her job!

Ms. Robinson has one daughter, Emily, who currently lives in Fairbanks, Alaska, with her husband Michael while he proudly serves in the United States Army.
