• A message from Dr. McCoy

Welcome to the Orange Beach High School website! Whether you are a member of the OB community, considering a move to the island or simply surfing the 'net, it is our desire that you find this site filled with helpful information.

The administration, faculty and staff at OBHS are committed to providing the best educational services for our students. The vision of the Baldwin County Schools system is to build a culture informed by data that is focused on successful learning outcomes. We will provide students with rich educational experiences rooted in academia, the arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities.

Our goals are fairly simple: To prepare our students to be successful at the next level whether that be the next grade, college, a career, or the military and to set high expectations for excellence in all aspects of our daily walk.  During times such as these, preparedness has never been more vital for our students.  Their futures are certainly changing with each passing day, and we aim to ensure they are ready regardless of what may lie ahead.  By delivering high-quality, research-based instruction and maintaining exceptional standards, our students are given the opportunity to learn at rates rivaling other students in the state. We understand the many challenges students face today. However, student achievement must be sustainable, consistent and demonstrated by all students. Although the collective work of all members of our school community has given us great reason to celebrate, we remain committed to working arduously until every student has learned to the best of his or her potential.

We are extremely proud of the learning environment that exists at Orange Beach High School and will work daily to continue to create a culture of excellence. On behalf of the entire OBHS community, I look forward to great things this year!
