You Can be an Engineer
Posted by Lisa Comer on 5/21/2020PBS Kids has a web site that teaches kids about science and engineering called Design Squad Global: https://pbskids.org/designsquad/ The site uses videos from their TV series, Design Squad Nation, as well as games and activities that incorporate the principles of engineering. The site gives students instructions on how to build things and enter contest where they submit their own engineered designs. If you want to get creative this summer, then head over to Design Squad Global.

What's On APT?

I find their Spy in the Wild series amazing and thoroughly engrossing. You will definitely want to tune in to watch.

Start a Garden

Read a Magazine Online
Posted by Lisa Comer on 5/15/2020The National Wildlife Federation’s Ranger Rick Magazine is making all digital copies available online for free through June as long as you don’t mind going through a registration process https://rangerrick.org/freedigital/. You will be able to read Ranger Rick, Ranger Rick, Jr., Zoobooks, and other great nature magazines on different grade levels. This is a great way to keep reading during the summer.
