Mrs. Katy Madson

I have taught in Fairhope Schools for 20 years.  I began my teaching career at Fairhope K-1 Center as a first grade teacher, then moved to Kindergarten.  I believe singing, dancing and laughing are the best tools to teach reading, writing and arithmetic.
I am married to Tony Madson, and we have three children:  Anthony, Elizabeth and Emily.  We enjoy boating, church activities, vacationing at the beach, snow skiing out West, attending Auburn games, and visiting with family and friends.
My mission for my Kindergarten class is to create respectful, responsible, independent students who are successful achievers for a lifetime.

"In my classroom you will find a nurturing, educational environment that encourages parental involvement. I recognize that all children have unique talents, learning styles, and personalities. I am a highly qualified teacher committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional, and educational results."

I encourage a strong parent-teacher relationship necessary for maximum school success and view parents as the primary educators.

I recognize that all children have unique talents, learning styles, and perspectives.

I believe that purposeful, rigorous, dynamic, innovative education should be available to EVERY student.

I create respectful, responsible, independent learners that strive to achieve their goals.

I promote a love of learning, self confidence, and academic skills that form a foundation for life long learning and continued success.
