Mrs. Hope Sawyer
Hi! My name is Hope Sawyer. I grew up in Greenwood, MS, a small community in the delta. I received my teaching degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. I have been teaching for 23 years. I taught 4th/5th grades, 3rd grade and 1st grade, respectively. I am starting my second year in 2nd grade this fall and I am so excited.
I completed my National Board Certification in 2003 and in 2007 received the Presidential of Excellence Award for Mathematics in Alabama. Then in 2008 I completed my Master's degree with a speciality in reading. In 2011, I received the Cliff Spanier Teacher of the Year award at Fairhope Elementary School.
My husband, Craig and I have a blended family of five children and three wonderful grandchildren - Brayden(10) Eli (6) and Adalynne(4)~ along with 2 dogs- Annie and Taji. Craig is a Sergeant with the Fairhope Police Deptartment.
Ashley, our oldest daughter of 31, lives in Fairhope with her three children.
Lance, our oldest son of 28 and his wife, Brittany(27) live in Hanceville, AL.
Kelsey, our middle child of 27, lives and works in Daphne.
Allison, our youngest daughter of 22, is currently living in Mobile and training as a dental assistant.
Patrick, the youngest, is 19 and just completed his first year at AL Coastal Community College and working. He plans to transfer to Ole Miss in the summer. Hotty Toddy!
We attend First Baptist Church of Fairhope where we teach 6th grade Sunday School and Craig is the director of the RA's boys program. We stay VERY busy!
