Mrs. Hope Sawyer
Hi! My name is Hope Sawyer. I grew up in Greenwood, MS, a small community in the delta. I received my teaching degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. I have been teaching for 22 years. I taught 4th/5th grades, 3rd grade and 1st grade, respectively. I am beginning my first year in 2nd grade this fall and I am so excited.
I completed my National Board Certification in 2003 and in 2007 received the Presidential of Excellence Award for Mathematics in Alabama. Then in 2008 I completed my Master's degree with a speciality in reading. In 2011, I received the Cliff Spanier Teacher of the Year award at Fairhope Elementary School.
My husband, Craig and I have a blended family of five children and three wonderful grandchildren - Brayden(9) Eli (5) and Adalynne(3 )~ along with 3 dogs- Dixie, Annie and Taji. Craig is a Sergeant with the Fairhope Police Deptartment.
Ashley, our oldest daughter of 30, lives in Daphne with her three children.
Lance, our oldest son and his wife, Brittany live in Hanceville, AL.
Kelsey, our middle child of 26, lives and works in Daphne.
Allison, our youngest daughter of 21, is currently living in Mobile and working.
Patrick, the youngest, is 18 and just graduated from Fairhope High School and is attending AL Coastal Community College and working.
We attend First Baptist Church of Fairhope where we teach 6th grade Sunday School and Craig is the director of the RA's boys program. We stay VERY busy!
