Originally from Montgomery, AL, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences (2000) and a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (2002) from the University of South Alabama. I have always loved working with children and knew from early on that I wanted a career that would allow me to pursue that love. In high school I observed a family friend who was a speech therapist and never considered another option after that.
It is an amazing opportunity to watch a child say their first word, first sentence, or say a sound correctly for the first time! I am thankful for each and every child and family that I get to work with.
I am married to an amazing man, Shane, and we have two wonderful boys.
This is my seventh full year working at Fairhope Elementary, after working half a year in a interim position.
