    FMS ANNOUNCEMENTS--JANUARY 15--TUESDAY

     

    CONGRATULATIONS

    • Congrats to the 8th grade boys basketball team!  They won the FMS Basketball Tournament last Saturday (beating SFMS).
    • Congratulations to the all the FMS Basketball Teams.  All 3 teams won their games over CBMS!

    BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

    • Keep saving BOX TOPS.
    • Turn them in to the office.
    • Every Box Top counts!

     

    MLK DAY

    • Monday, January 21st.
    • No School for ANYONE.
    • If you show up, WE won't be here!!

     

    FMS BAND NEWS

    • The FMS Band will perform at the Alabama Music Educators Convention Friday, January 18th in Birmingham.
    • This is BIG!  This is equivalent to a state championship game.
    • GO FMS Pirates!

     

    CAR AND BUS RIDERS

    • All car riders are to be picked up in car line.
      • This is a safety issue.
      • No students are allowed to be picked up in nearby neighborhoods.
        • Parents:  
          • Do not park in these neighborhoods.
          • Do not keep circling the block until your child walks over.
      • The SRO or another employee will be at the crosswalk.  
        • Students that do not live in these neighborhoods will not be allowed to leave campus.
        • They are to be picked up in car line or ride the school bus home.
    • WALKERS:  All walkers must have permission to walk home or walk to the high school to siblings vehicle.
      • Parents must fill out the "walking home" form and send it to the office.
      • The information on this form is verified by office staff.
    • BUS RIDERS:
      • Students are not allowed to change buses.
        • Safety issue and buses are very full.
      • If your student wants to spend the night with another student, you have to make your own arrangements.
      • Students can only get off at their designated stop.
        • If your student needs to get off at another stop (same bus), write a note and send it to the office.
        • Note will be verified and a permission form will be given to your student for the bus driver.
        • No permission--driver will not let them get off at different stop.

     

    ARCHERY TRYOUTS

    • January 30, 31, and February 1.
    • See Mr. Norris or Mr. Hall for more info.

     

    NJHS APPLICATIONS

    • NJHS applications are due on January 25th.
    • No late applications accepted.
    • Current members do not need to reapply.

    • Save the date!  Go and have fun!!!!
      • Trip:  February 14th
    • Make sure $$ and forms are turned by due date.
