What Is Baldwin Virtual and How Can I learn More?
For nearly a decade, Baldwin County has offered one of the finest virtual school programs in Alabama. This program has been open to secondary students (grades 7-12) who meet certain qualifications. In the summer of 2020, we expanded enrollment to include elementary students (grades K-6).
Students in the Baldwin County Virtual Secondary School program do not attend traditional classes and are, in many ways, self-directed in their studies. Their testing and assessments are monitored on-site, but they do not attend school every day. Buses are not available for this program and the student must have Wi-Fi access to do their work. The students learn through internet connected computer programs and videos with support and tutoring instruction from the Virtual School staff as needed.
