At the 7th grade Awards Program on May 15, 2019, FMS recognized the Duke TIP Grand and State Recognition students for 2019/2020. Anna Kangsumrith and Alena Amare were recognized with a certificate for qualifying for grand recognition.

Students who qualify for grand recognition scored approximately at or better than 90 percent of recent high school graduates on at least one part of the ACT or the SAT. These students were invited to a special recognition ceremony at Duke University. Only about 4 percent of all the participants in the talent search qualify for grand recognition. This is quite an achievement!
