On Thursday, September 27th, the Fairhope Middle School Peer Helpers conducted the annual Anti-Bullying Assembly for 7th graders. Bullying prevention video clips were shown and Peer Helpers discussed what students should do if they are bullied. Mrs. Bowling, the 7th grade Counselor, and Mrs. Doyle, the 8th grade Counselor, presented information regarding how to report bullying online and also the Student Harassment and Bullying Complaint forms located in the Counselor’s office.

Information about the Jamari Terrell Williams Student Bullying Prevention Act that addresses cyber bullying and bullying off campus was also presented. The assembly concluded with the students signing Fairhope Middle School’s Anti-Bullying/Harassment Contract, which is taken home for a parent signature. The Fairhope Middle School Peer Helper Program is sponsored by the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation.
