October 2018 Teacher of the Month: Master Sergeant Howard
October Teacher of the Year
The Class of 2019 was asked to choose those teachers who were challenging and supportive in the class room or motivational and supportive in their personal lives and/or other school activities. With this criteria, congratulations go to the FHS October Teacher of the Month, Master Sergeant Darrell Howard.
Sergeant Howard graduated from Sumter High School in Sumter South Carolina. Degrees earned are Associate in Applied Science – Security Administration and Human Resources Management from Community College of the Air Force, Associate Degree in General Curriculum from University of Maryland University College, Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management form American Military University, and Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Teacher Leader from Waldorf University.
After 23 years of service retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant, Sergeant Howard began teaching at Foley High School in September 2014.
Sergeant Howard’s teaching philosophy and purpose is to pay it forward in honor of the teachers and professors who made him who he is today.
