Battle of Blakeley JROTC Orienteering Competition

Battle of Blakeley JROTC Orienteering Competition

Five cadets competed in the Battle of Blakeley JROTC Orienteering competition at Blakeley State Park on Saturday.  Orienteering is a combination of cross-country running and land navigation.  The competitors are given a compass and a map and are required to navigate to all the required points as quickly as possible.  There were JROTC teams from at least four states at this year’s competition.  One of our cadets, Jacob Abston, came in first place (out of 38 competitors in his category).

Cadets:

Jacob Abston, Hayden Stewart, Abigail Wilson, Fischer Carr, Nicholas Guidry
