The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Roy, and the Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Samuel, were in Concert Music Performance Assessment (MPA) for the State of Alabama on March 5, 2024.

Each band was adjudicated on three prepared pieces and a sightreading piece (a piece they’ve never seen before). Students performed in front of judges and an audience of band members from Mobile County, Baldwin County, and Gulf Shores City Schools. There were three judges on stage and one judge for sightreading. 

Symphonic Band received a stage rating of superior, excellent, excellent on stage and an excellent in sightreading.

Wind Ensemble received a stage rating of superior, superior, superior on stage and a superior in sightreading. This is now four years in row of straight superior ratings post COVID.

We congratulate these students for two stunning performances and high ratings. They represented Foley HS in every positive way!
