High School Volleyball Tryout Info

Parents with upcoming 9th grade female students interested in trying out for volleyball:

Currently we are unsure of when we will be able to have tryouts for volleyball. As of today, our high school volleyball coach was on a conference call with the AHSAA and the current bylaws do not allow tryouts during the summer. However, under our current circumstances, they are looking into that being a possibility. If the AHSAA Board would approve a summer tryout, we want to be prepared to get that underway as soon as possible. Our high school volleyball coach, Gretchen Boykin, request that if you are interested in trying out for volleyball that you email her the following information at her school email address ( so that she can contact everyone regarding tryouts:

Player Name:

Grade for the 20-21 school year:

Player Cell Number:

Parent Cell Number:

Email address to contact player for tryout information:

If summer tryouts become a possibility, we will probably be limited to the number that can come at a time. This will require Coach Boykin assigning players groups and times that they will report for tryouts. If you do not email Coach Boykin, she will not know to assign you to a group. If summer tryouts are allowed but your student can’t attend at that time, there will be another tryout when official practices begin. Please email Coach Boykin with any other questions or concerns.

We will keep everyone updated on further information as we know what we will be allowed to do.
