PBS Kids has a web site that teaches kids about science and engineering called Design Squad Global: https://pbskids.org/designsquad/ The site uses videos from their TV series, Design Squad Nation, as well as games and activities that incorporate the principles of engineering.  The site gives students instructions on how to build things and enter contest where they submit their own engineered designs.  If you want to get creative this summer, then head over to Design Squad Global.
