This is just a reminder that the transfer deadline for Virtual School students is Friday, September 11.
Students who are currently enrolled in Virtual School may elect to transfer back into their traditional brick-and-mortar school through this time.
Should you choose to transfer your child back to traditional school, notice of this intent to transfer must be received by the principal or registrar at your child's base school (where your family is zoned), no later than 3 p.m. Friday, September 11th. The notice must be sent from the student's parent or registered guardian.
Please note it will take up to a week to transfer your child back into their traditional base school. We cannot guarantee they will be able to obtain the same classes, nor will they be guaranteed to have the same schedule they selected in the spring. Teacher and class assignments will be made on an as-available basis.
After September 11th, students will only have the ability to transfer back into traditional school at the end of each semester for secondary students or at the end of each quarter for elementary students.
If you have any questions about Virtual School, please contact your Virtual School principal. If you would like to transfer your child, please contact the principal or registrar at your child's traditional base school. If you are unsure of what your child's traditional base school is, please visit www.bcbe.org/zone.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to build Alabama's largest Virtual School while protecting the quality of education you expect from Baldwin County Public Schools.
