09.16.22 Superintendent Update

Mr. Joe SharpSuperintendent Eddie Tyler, along with the support of the Baldwin County Board of Education, is proud to announce the appointment of Joe Sharp to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Baldwin County Public Schools.

Mr. Sharp has spent 30 years in education with the last 17 in administration.

Most recently, Mr. Sharp has served as principal of Robertsdale High School. During his time there, he and his team increased the school’s State Report Card, the student AP and ACT scores and the school’s graduation rate which was 90% in 2021.

The school earned STEM certification, one of the few schools in the state to have achieved this honor.

Mr. Sharp has experience in schools in Alabama and Georgia and has held the positions of teacher, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, Principal and Director of Administrative Services.

In his new role, Mr. Sharp will focus on academics and school improvement on the secondary level. He will join Mrs. Hope Zeanah and Mr. Marty McRae who are currently Assistant Superintendents for the county.

“We could not have chosen a better candidate for this position. Mr. Sharp’s record speaks for itself. His passion is academics which is evident by what he’s done at Robertsdale High School. Academics lead in Baldwin County and Mr. Sharp’s goals align directly with that,” said Superintendent Eddie Tyler.
