Dear Parents,

 

Good afternoon. This has become quite the tradition for Baldwin County Public Schools, and I hope it continues for years to come. I’m asking that we all once again come together to support our local families who are or who have endured the unthinkable—Childhood Cancer.

 

As you may know, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I know there may be activities at our individual schools, but I would like to do a system-wide day of recognition on Friday, September 27th.

 

This is not required, but if you can, please join me in wearing yellow/gold on September 27th, as a show of support. This includes all schools and district offices.

 

I always choose the last Friday of the month in hopes that we will not only remember the fight these families have to go through in September but in the weeks and months to follow as well.
