  • How do I get support for the free wireless hotspot I received?

    Call our Help Desk at 251-967-5333, or you can also call AT&T Technical Support at 800-331-0500. You may also call your local AT&T store.

  • Student receives an error message when logging into Google Classroom - What do I do?

    The error mesage reads: "Google Classroom has been blocked. Please contact your administrator."

    1. Open the Google Chrome web browser, and click the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
    2. Click More tools, then Clear browsing data.
    3. Click on the Advanced tab.
    4. Choose “All Time” for the time range.
    5. Select all of the checkboxes listed.
    6. Click the Clear data button.
    7. Try again to log into Google Classroom.  If unsuccessful, call our Help Desk at 251-967-5333.

  • How can broken Chromebooks be replaced?

    Replacements for broken student Chromebooks will be provided by appointment only. Students/parents must call the Help Desk at 251-967-5333 to try to resolve the issue over the phone. If the Help Desk cannot resolve the issue, they will offer an appointment time and place for the student/parent to turn in the old computer and pick up a new one. Parents (or high school students 16 or older) may be required to show their Driver’s License when exchanging a broken Chromebook for a new one.

  • How will students get Chromebook support beginning on April 13?

    Ed Tech will provide phone support every weekday between the hours of 8am – 4pm. Unanswered calls will go to voicemail and will be returned as quickly as possible.

  • How can I pick up my elementary child's Chromebook now?

    If you were unable to pick up your Elementary School student’s Chromebook during the week ending March 20, it may be possible for you to pick up a Chromebook from the school during the closure. Information will be posted on each school’s website of available times for pickup during the closure.

  • I can't connect to download materials. What else can I do?

    Through Friday March 20 at 4pm, you may visit your student’s school (Elementary and Intermediate) to pick up a package of printed materials. After this date, please call our Central Office Help Desk at 251-967-5333 and schedule a time to stop by our office in Loxley, AL to pick up materials.

  • How do I connect my Chromebook to Wifi at home?

    Power on the Chromebook.  At the bottom right of the screen, click on the time clock, then click on the wireless network icon (upside-down cone shaped icon) and select your home wifi from the list.  Enter the password if prompted, and then click “Connect”.

  • I do not have wifi at home. How do I download the educational materials to work offline?

    First, connect your Chromebook to the internet.  This will mean of course that you must take your Chromebook somewhere that has wifi access.

  • How do I access the materials provided for student reference during the closure?

    Log into the Student Portal (students.bcbe.org).  You will find an icon there labeled “School Closure Resources”.

    Click on this icon to load a shared Google Drive folder with resources for all students.  Elementary School students for example will open the folder labeled “Elementary Schools”, and then the folder(s) for the appropriate grade level or other resources needed.

     

    You can access these resources from any computer as long as you're logged in to your @ibaldwin.org account.

  • How do I get to the Student Portal?

    After logging into the Chromebook, you can open the web browser and go to students.bcbe.org.  There is also a yellow icon at the bottom of the desktop that will take you to the Student Portal.

  • How do I log into my Chromebook?

    Posted by:

    When you power on your Chromebook, you should see an icon with your name displayed. Click on that icon, and then type your password into the password field. Your password is a 5 digit code. A printed page with this password was sent home with each Chromebook/Student.
