Welcome letter from the Principal
-
Greetings!
I, along with an incredible group of educators and professionals, am thrilled to welcome our students and families to the 2024-2025 School Year. Pine Grove Elementary School is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have very high expectations for each student. Our students are multi-taskers, very tech-savvy, caring, and eager to learn. Together, with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our PGES motto of “GROWING WITH A PURPOSE FROM THE INSIDE OUT,” will continue to guide our mission to provide a rigorous and joyful inclusive learning environment. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime of love for learning.
We are aware that we will need to continue to address unfinished learning by using research-based and data-driven instruction to fill in gaps in knowledge. Instruction will be focused on specialized skills and content needed to learn grade-level materials while providing the appropriate tools needed to grasp concepts.
Partnering with families is crucial to promoting a healthy experience at school. We recognize that students may be feeling anxious with the start of a new school or school year, and as a Leader In Me School, we will continue to place a strong emphasis on social and emotional learning while focusing on building a classroom community. We encourage our families to stay connected and informed by following our district website, school website, and announcements sent through Remind and/or email.
Additionally, please refer to the district calendar and follow us on Facebook for updates, celebrations, and more. Procedural updates will also be communicated to you from Pine Grove Elementary School.
Please reach out to me at any time with questions or concerns in-person, by phone, or by email pmmoorer@bcbe.org
Respectfully,
Pam M. Moorer, Ed.D.
