Baldwin County High School, home of the Tigers, has served the students in the city of Bay Minette and the surrounding North Baldwin communities since 1921. The original school, located at Blackburn Avenue and Fifth Street, had an enrollment of 132 students and contained eight classrooms and an auditorium. In 1991, a new facility with over 50 classrooms was built on State Highway 59 to accommodate students in the growing community. Since that time, features such as the Ben Long Memorial Baseball Facility and Indoor Athletic Facility have been added to the campus. In the Spring of 2025, a state-of-the-art addition will be added that will include a gymnasium, weight training and exercise facility, athletic offices, locker room, and an instrumental rehearsal hall.
Students at BCHS thrive with the support of family, school, and community stakeholders. Partnerships with the City of Bay Minette, North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, North Baldwin Utilities, the North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education, and other business stakeholders help to provide opportunities for the 1000+ students on the campus. With over 30 clubs, organizations, and athletic teams, there is something for everyone.
