Library Overview
-
Students visit the school library once a week for their scheduled library time. During class, we will discuss topics such as how to locate books in a library, book awards, copyright, plagiarism, and so much more! We will listen to and discuss read-alouds, be creative and inventive in Makerspace, and explore different types of books and genres.
Students may also visit the library to check out books. Please be sure to take care of your borrowed book and return it to the library in excellent condition when you are done so that others may enjoy it too!
Meet the librarian

Hi! My name is Erin Tyler and I am the Library Media Specialist at WJ Carroll Intermediate School. I attended Troy University where I earned my K-6 Elementary Education degree before pursuing my Master's degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I taught Kindergarten at Daphne Elementary School for eight years prior to moving into the library at WJ Carroll. My husband and I just had a precious baby boy in December who is the happiest baby, full of personality, and LOVES books!
I am so excited to explore different books, genres, and authors with you and look forward to watching you grow as a reader this year!
