About HOSA:
Health Occupation Students America is an international student organization recognized by the US Department of Education and Health Science Education of ACTE. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions. HOSA is 100% health care! HOSA is not a club to which a few students in school join. Rather, HOSA is a powerful instructional tool that works best when it is integrated into the HSE and health science related curriculum and classroom. The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
Membership:
At SFHS, HOSA members participate in regularly scheduled meetings, fundraising, community service, and a local sports-medicine based competition. We value learning, leadership, service, and innovation, so that we may inspire and become empowered health care providers. Please see a sponsor or an officer, to receive more information on how to become a HOSA member at SFHS.
