The weighted GPA is designed to reflect the varying skill required for different level courses.  The weighted GPA scale assigns higher quality points for grades earned in difficult courses (numerical grades remain unaffected).  The weighted GPA is printed on the student transcript for the purposes of college admission and scholarship applications only.  The weighted GPA Point Scale adds .5 to the quality point value for the grade earned in an Honors designated course.
