- Spanish Fort High School
- Meet the Junior Varsity Coach
-
Hello, Toros! My name is Emily Hudson and I am a Spanish teacher here at SFHS. This will be my second school year and cheerleading season with Spanish Fort, and I have felt continuously welcomed by this strong, supportive community.
I was a cheerleader for 16 years in my hometown of Mobile, including Phillips Prep, Murphy High School, and finally the University of South Alabama where I cheered for my entire college career. I’m thankful to have had many coaching opportunities at all levels of school and all-star cheerleading. I coached competitive cheer for many years at Cheer Force One in Mobile, and also at NOLA All Stars in New Orleans, Louisiana. In my time as an educator, I have taught and coached cheerleading at Vestavia Hills High School, where our teams proudly won 2 AHSAA State Championships and 3 UCA National Championships; and also at Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans, where we competed at NCA Nationals each year.
I feel incredibly blessed to be working with the amazing Coach Bender, who was once a cheer coach of mine, and has been a lifelong friend, as well. I love perfecting sideline cheerleading for football games, working new stunts, and am very passionate about competing as well. I am looking forward to another great year with the Toros! Horns Up!
