This one-credit course is designed to help students master basic skills in the areas of word processing, video filming and editing, presentation, broadcasting, communication, and Internet. Students are also offered opportunities to identify ethical issues pertaining to information systems and to gather information about careers in technology. Communication and critical thinking skills are reinforced through the use of software applications.
The Lion Pride News is “by permission only” classes. Interviews are conducted each spring for membership for the following school year.

Many students that have come through the Lion Pride News have been successful in furthering their broadcast/communication/film education. Numerous Foley High graduates have continued to seek careers in broadcasting, communication, and filming at schools such as Auburn University, the University of Alabama, Troy University, the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.
