Tips:  Save your information so you can just plug it in for each scholarship.  Some of the writing prompts will be the same and you will be to “recycle” information on them.  If you have not started a student profile with courses, clubs, and awards, you need to do so ASAP!  These are used to give to teachers for recommendation letters.  Don’t forget the Brag Sheet that goes to Mrs. Alms when you need a rec letter from her!

Pay attention to deadlines!  Some of these scholarships start as early as September!  If you need assistance, please reach out to Mrs. Goodwin at cgoodwin@bcbe.org or Mrs. Alms at lalms@bcbe.org

FAFSA (this is critical for the scholarship process-and is now a requirement for graduation. -There will be ALOT of support available for completing the FAFSA.  This website will be active on October 1- https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

Common APP:  This website is an application that is used by many college and universities in the United States.  You will need to get a recommendation letter for this application, so keep this in mind.  This is a free application.
