Handbook: Promotion Standards

  • The decision to promote a student is a professional one based on the student’s performance during the school year. This professional responsibility belongs to the teacher and principal, with input from other adults who play a significant role in the academic/social development of the child.  Parent-Teacher conferences are highly recommended.  Students must meet criteria established for each grade level to be considered for promotion.  Parents have access to student grades through Power School, mid-quarter reports, and quarterly report cards.
