Program Description
NBCT Health Science program video: Health Science
The NBCT Health Science Academy orients students to careers that promote health, wellness, and diagnosis as well as treat injuries and diseases. Some of the careers involve working directly with people, while others involve research into diseases or collecting and formatting data and information. Students are required to have a 3.0 GPA and other qualifications.
Courses offered include:- Foundations of Health (10-12 graders)
- Human Body Structures (counts as 3rd or 4th required science)
- Therapeutic Services
- Health Internship 2 (clinical) (Juniors and Seniors)
- Emergency Medical Technology & Clinical (Seniors only) (Extra fee required)
- CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant)

- CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant)
- EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
- CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant)
