• Program Description

    Located at the North Baldwin Infirmary Complex the Health Science Academy orients students to careers that promote health, wellness, and diagnosis as well as treat injuries and diseases.  Some of the careers involve working directly with people, while others involve research into diseases or collecting and formatting data and information. Students are required to have a 3.0 GPA and other qualifications.  Please see application below.

    • Foundations of Health (10-12 graders)
    • Human Body Structures (counts as 3rd or 4th required science)
    • Therapeutic Services
    • Introduction to Pharmacy
    • Health Internship 2 (clinical) (Juniors and Seniors)(counts as 2 credits)
    • Emergency Medical Technology & Clinical (Seniors only) (Extra fee required)
    • CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant; Counts as two credits)

    Career Readiness Credential:

    • CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant)
    • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
    • CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant)
