***There is no application fee for this program*** Alabama's nationally recognized First Class Pre-K will begin accepting applications on January 21 for the 2020-2021 school year. Students are generally referred to Baldwin County Public School System social workers by guidance counselors, school nurses, or administrators. Referral reasons may include mental health issues, financial difficulties, medical concerns, behavioral problems, parent-child conflict, family crises, suspected child abuse/neglect, poor academic performance, and truancy/excessive tardiness.

The Baldwin County Public School System is committed to the provision of excellent educational opportunities for all students. For students to take advantage of these opportunities, it is essential that students attend school on a regular basis. Daily attendance is monitored by each school so that both parents and educators can work together to ensure compliance with the district’s attendance policy.

Mrs. Forrest will be teaching Safer, Smarter Kids curriculum during the weeks of February 3 – May 15 to students in Kindergarten through Second Grade. Prior to this time, you are encouraged to review the curriculum at www.bcbe.org under the directory heading of Counseling and Intervention, Child Sexual Abuse. Students are expected to arrive at school on time and be in class and ready to begin working no later than 7:55 a.m. Car riders should not be dropped off on campus prior to 7:15 a.m. Students who are not in class when the 7:55 a.m. bell rings should report to the office for a tardy slip.
