BMMS School Counseling: Lynn D. Mitchem, School Counselor

Mrs. Mitchem is the counselor at Bay Minette Middle School. She graduated in 2010 with a M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of South Alabama. She also holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the Auburn University in Montgomery. She has been employed at Bay Minette Middle School since 2000. Mrs. Mitchem has four lovely daughters and a beautiful granddaughter.

The school counseling program at Bay Minette Middle School is one that prepares and inspires all students to achieve at their highest potential and prepared to meet their future academic and career goals. Through the leadership of the counseling department, students are encouraged to pursue academic rigor and inspired to be responsible, respectful, and resourceful citizens and lifelong learners. The school counseling department partners with other educators and stakeholders to advocate for equity, access, and success for all.
