Degrees and Certifications:

Aronica Thomas

I am Aronica Thomas from Pensacola, FL, and “I love MATH.”  I have a B.S in Mathematics from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, and a Master's Degree in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL.  I am a teacher and ARMY veteran who spent 1 year in IRAQ and If I did not teach math, I have no clue what I would be doing. I have been teaching math for 17 years.  I taught 7th grade reading for 1 year, 6th-grade math for 1 year, 7th-grade math for 4 years, 8th-grade advanced math, and Algebra 1 for 3 years, all in Pensacola, FL.   I later taught at high school both Honors Algebra and Geometry for 8 years.  I find joy in helping students understand math at its most basic level, then watching students move from an all-out hatred for math to tolerable or even enjoying math.

I spend most of my free time with my family.  We spend time fishing, boating, playing games, watching movies, and traveling in the summer, when we are not at their sporting events.  I am so happy to be joining the Baldwin County School District and BMMS is the BEST middle school to attend.
