Builders Club Activities for 2017/2018
*Trick or Treat for Unicef
*Sponsor of Out of Uniform Day for the American Cancer Society that raised $854.40
*Club donation of $360 in honor of Clayton Ladd and Georgia Byrd to Jensen’s Heart of Gold, an organization for family financial relief for medical expenses not covered by insurance.
*Raised $1,000 which Kiwanis matched with $3,000 for the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief
*Christmas Book Giving Program for Silver Hill Elementary
*Co-sponsor of Birthday in a Bag for the Prodisee Food Pantry
*For the Love of Pets Project- Collecting items for the Haven Animal Shelter
*Spring Food Drive for Ecumenical Ministries

Builders Club with the help of FBLA, FCCLA, and SGA are sponsoring “Birthday Party in a Bag” for Prodisee Pantry. What child doesn’t love a birthday party? Unfortunately, when money is short often a party is one of the first things to go. Prodisee Pantry wants to ensure that families are able to provide a party for their children by supplying some of the needed items. Beginning now thru February 9th, we will be collecting those items through the homerooms. The homeroom that collects the most completed bags will receive their very own BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

Mrs. Early and Mrs. Kinggard's 7th Grade Homerooms Donate the Most Birthday Bags!

The FMS Builders Club sponsored a Christmas book giving program for younger students who attend the after school program at Silver Hill Elementary, a Title 1 school. Club members donated new books for grades K-6, and met together to wrap them, and to also prepare goody bags for the children. Builders Club members enjoyed pizza and holiday music as they participated in the book giving program during their lunch breaks. The Builders Club sponsors, Mrs. Debbie Brett, and Mrs. Kathryn Doyle, helped coordinate the event with Mrs. Annette Grube, the FMS Librarian and After School Coordinator for Silver Hill Elementary School.
Builders Club sold $1 bags of halloween candy in an affort to raise money for Unicef's program to help eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) worldwide. This Builders Club fundraiser raised $339.03 for Unicef.Builders Club sponsored an out of uniform "Pink Out Day" and sold $1 "No One Fights Alone" Breast Cancer Awareness pink bracelets as a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. $854.40 was raised by Builders Club for the American Cancer Society in October.Ms. Marlene Rathle, Senior Community Development Manager of the South Region American Cancer Society, presented a check made out to the American Cancer Society in recognition of the $854.40 raised by the FMS Builders Club. Builders Club Sponsored Out of Uniform Day Including Private Donations
and $1,000 from Fairhope and Eastern Shore Kiwanis Raised $3,000 Total for
the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief! Thanks to all who contributed!
Builders Club sponsored an out of uniform day, "Wear All Gold," in September for childhood cancer. The $360.85 raised was donated to Jensen's Heart of Gold, an organization that provides financial support such as travel and lodging expenses for families with children undergoing cancer treatment.
