    Mrs. Hall

I have been employed by the Baldwin County Board of Education for over thirty years in a variety of positions, and have served as the Principal of Fairhope Middle School since 2010. My education includes a bachelor's and two master's degrees from the University of South Alabama. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mike Hall, a nurse practitioner, and we have two wonderful sons, Phillip and Joshua. My goal is to ensure the safety of your child and create a caring environment where the students and teachers are happy. With each of us working together, we will have a great school year! I am very fortunate to have two Assistant Principals, Mrs. Harrelson, and Mr. O'Connor, to help with our mission.

My name is Tonya Harrelson, and I am thrilled to be the 7th grade Assistant Principal. I am here to support Mrs. Hall, our faculty, our staff, our students, and our parents. I have 27 years of classroom teaching experience with 12 of those years here at Fairhope Middle. My husband and I have a son, Hayden, and a daughter, Hope. As a family, we love being together at home, going to the beach, and tailgating at Auburn football games. Since we are all Auburn graduates, Auburn is a special place for us.

    Our Mission

Fairhope Middle School’s motto is, “Experience the Excellence.” This educational philosophy is the driving force for all we do. Our pursuit of excellence sets the expectation that our students will indeed do their best in every aspect of their lives. With the expectation of excellence, we believe in empowering all students to achieve their full potential. This means helping them become intellectual, responsible, ethical individuals who are well prepared to meet the challenges and responsibilities of life.

The mission of Fairhope Middle School is to:

    Empower bold and honorable life-long

    learners who strive for excellence,

    serve others, and find success.

    Our Mission

The staff and faculty of Fairhope Middle School believe that the high expectations teachers have for students support learning as our central purpose. The educational climate must be safe and orderly to ensure learning for all students. The faculty should equip students with the skills needed to be successful in their next level of schooling. This includes the use of a variety of resources such as technology and the media. Commitment from students, teachers, families, and the community is an essential part of each student’s educational success.

    Safety Message

Protecting our students, teachers and employees is my priority. The Baldwin County Public School System has partnered with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, the Baldwin County Commission and our municipal law enforcement agencies so that ALL our school campuses have a dedicated School Resource Officer each school day.

As part of our school system's multi-million dollar commitment to safety, a "buzz in"- video identification check is available on each campus. Everyone must follow stated safety procedures.

Of note, just because you hear "lockdown" does not necessarily mean there is an emergency on campus. We are sometimes alerted by law enforcement of a concern in the community that prompts us to implement our safety plan.

Of supreme importance: if you hear something, say something- not on social media- but report immediately to law enforcement, a teacher or school administrator all concerns. School administrators and law enforcement will sort out the validity. Together, we form a partnership that keeps our schools safe. Thank you for being a partner!

    Sincerely,

    Director of Prevention Support
