STUDENT SMARTPHONES/SMARTWATCHES
Elementary students are prohibited from carrying smartphone devices Pre-K-5th grade. 6th grade students may carry smartphone devices. Smartphones MUST be kept off and in a child’s backpack once they arrive at school, and must remain off and in their backpacks until school has dismissed.
Faculty and staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged devices.
Smartwatches are allowed in school, but are to be used as a normal timepiece. All communication applications (texting/email/voice/etc.) should be disabled on the smartwatch during school hours. All video and picture-capturing applications should be disabled on smartwatches during school hours.
