About the Special Services Department

The Special Services Department promotes opportunities for gifted and disabled students to participate in educational activities designed to facilitate maximum student achievement. A full range of services, meeting the needs of all identified disabled students (Pre-K – 12), is offered in all schools in the Baldwin County Public School System. Disabilities recognized by the State of Alabama include Autism, Deaf-Blindness, Developmental Delay, Emotional Disability, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairments, Specific Learning Disability, Speech or Language Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Visual Impairment. Child Find: Ages 3-21.

On July 15, 2024, Special Education will destroy all records of students born in 1997. All years prior to 1997 have already been destroyed. If you would like to obtain the Special Education records please contact the Special Education Office at 251-970-7324 or come to the PAC Office at 19812 Underwood Rd. Foley, Alabama.
2024 Special Olympics

A FANTASTIC DAY: The 2024 BCBE Special Olympics was held on March 15, 2024, in Fairhope, AL. Olympians from all BCBE schools participated in the fun-filled, fantastic day of celebrations. BCBE students, staff, administrators, and community members joined in the activities. Congratulations athletes on an incredible event. #baldwinproud
