What are Federal Programs?

The goal of the Baldwin County Public School System is to provide the best learning environment that is available to meet the needs of our students. The funds provided by the ESSA legislation supplement our efforts by providing additional teachers and aides to work with struggling learners and supplemental materials for those students who need a variety of strategies to meet the state's standards for achievement. First Class PreK
Ensure that Pre-Kindergarten students have access to a high-quality developmentally appropriate learning environment to prepare them for school success in the 21st century.

Title I, Part A - Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
To ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards.

Title I, Part D - Programs for Students Who Are Neglected, Delinquent & At-Risk
To improve services for neglected, delinquent and at-risk children to meet academic and achievement standards, provide services to enable them to transition successfully, and prevent youth from dropping out of school

Increase the academic achievement of all students by helping schools and districts improve teacher and principal quality and effectiveness.

Title III, Part A - Language Instruction For English Learners And Immigrant Students:
To ensure that limited English proficient (LEP) students, including immigrant children and youth, develop English proficiency and achieve academic success.
