    Hi! I have been an educator in Baldwin County since 2008 and school counselor at Daphne High School since 2017.  I earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Journalism from Troy University and Master's degrees in Elementary Education and School Counseling from the University of South Alabama.  Prior to entering the education field, I worked in public relations and event planning for the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Campus Card Users. My husband and I have an amazing daughter, an energetic dog, and a perfect cat named Sparkles. I am excited to work with each of you!

    I am Shea Maurin and am excited to return to Daphne High School!  I am transitioning from 28 years in the classroom to serving as the “P-Z” school counselor.  I taught in private school before teaching Spanish at Daphne from 2000-2005!  I have spent the last 18 years teaching at Foley High School.  My husband and I have three children and enjoy traveling from college football games to watch our son perform in the marching band, to college softball games to watch our older daughter play and look forward to watching the youngest play volleyball in the fall at a new school!  I am excited about this new chapter and look forward to returning to where it started in Baldwin County!  Go Trojans!
    Coryn Ebert - 9th/FX Counselor

    Hello! This year marks my 8th year as a school counselor in Baldwin County and first year at Daphne High School. I am so excited to be here! I spent 2 years at Foley High School and the last 5 years at Foley Middle School as the 8th grade counselor. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in School Counseling, both from Auburn University. I also have an Educational Specialist degree in School Counseling from Jacksonville State University. I am married to my husband Jordan, who is a teacher and the head baseball coach at Foley High School, and we have a precious daughter named Kash. We live on a horse farm in Fairhope and that is where you will find me in my free time.



    Laura Sasser - DHS Social Worker

    Hello! My name is Laura Sasser, LMSW. I am excited to be the school social worker this year!!

    I received my Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families from the University of Alabama in 2006. I have been working in the social work field since 2003 in the Montgomery and Baldwin County areas.

    My husband and I have been married for 17 years and have three children (Maggie, Jake, and Sarah Kate) and a fur baby. In my free time, I enjoy ancestry, baseball, and spending time with my children!


    Morrell Baxter - College and Career Coach

    Morrell Baxter started her journey  as a College & Career Coach in 2013 serving Washington County Public Schools, then Baldwin County Public Schools since October 2015 .  Bridging the gap between education and industry, Morrell provides career guidance for high school students with an emphasis on technical programs. She assists students with career exploration,  the complete college application process, the financial aid process, the complete job application process, and more! Morrell has a sincere passion for helping students and making an impact on their future.

    She graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Hospital Management and then pursued her graduate studies.  She holds a Master's Degree in Marketing from The University of Alabama.  Morrell grew up in Chatom Alabama, and now lives in Silverhill with her 2 year-old son Aubrey, and her husband of 6 years, Lance Baxter.

    In her spare time, Morrell is also is an artist and fashion blogger and has owned her own businesses, “Morrell Baxter Art”,   and “Morrell’s Armoire”, since 2013.
