Meet the 2021-2022 DHS Counseling Department
I am always thrilled to have another year at Daphne High School! I grew up in Birmingham, AL where I graduated from Vestavia Hills High School. I attended college at Mississippi State University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology, with a minor in Psychology. Because I loved it so much, I went back to MSU to earn my Master's degree in School Counseling. My husband and I relocated here in 2015 after I got hired at Daphne High School, and we continue to fall in love with Baldwin County! We had our first child in August of 2020, Anna James, and we have a sweet lab/golden mix named Abby :)
Hello! I have been a Daphne Trojan since 2010! I graduated from Robertsdale High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi to earn a degree in Math! I started my first teaching job at Daphne High School and coached cheerleading for several years. After several years of teaching and coaching, I decided to go back to school for my Masters in School Counseling. I earned this degree and began counseling juniors in 2016. I love my job and am so happy to have the opportunity to serve in this field. My husband and I have two small children, a boy (Levi - 7) and girl (Kendall - 4). I am excited to get to know each of you!
Hi! I have been an educator in Baldwin County since 2008 and the 10th grade school counselor at Daphne High School since 2017 when I earned my M.Ed. in School Counseling. Prior to entering the education field, I worked in public relations and event planning for the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Campus Card Users. When I am not at school, my husband and I love to spend time with our 5-year-old daughter. I am excited to work with each of you!
I am so excited to be at Daphne High School! I have been a counselor working with students and families in a variety of settings for over 20 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Secondary Education and I also have a Master's Degree from the University of Mobile in Marriage and Family Therapy. My husband and I have lived in Daphne for the past 25 years and we have 3 children who all graduated from Daphne High School (Go Trojans!) I look forward to getting to know your family and helping your student make a smooth transition to high school. Let's go Class of 2025!
