    Daphne High School Nurse's Station

    On Wednesday, October 24th, a company called Health Hero will be coming to Daphne High School to administer flu vaccines to our students. Consent forms will be sent home with all students Friday, October 13th  and are due on Friday, October 20th. Please return their completed consent form to the school nurse as soon as possible, if you would like them to receive a vaccine. There will be no out of pocket cost for these vaccines.

    The school nurse’s role is to serve as a liaison between family, school personnel, community, and health care providers. The school nurse also provides assessments and intervention, preventative services, and communicable disease control measures.


    The school nurse assists with the following services:

    -         Health Education to students, faculty, and staff

    -         Medication Administration and Health Care Procedures

    -         Referral Services

    -         Individualized Health Care Plans

    -         Vision, Hearing, and Scoliosis screenings

    -         Nursing Physical Assessments

    -         Staff Health Promotions

    -         Immunization Compliance
