Employee Assistance

  • The Baldwin County Board of Education's Employee Assistance Program is available to all employees. The EAP is a confidential assessment, counseling, and referral service for marital and family issues, alcohol and other drug dependency assessment, stress related issues, financial/legal referrals and emotional problems.

    HIPAA Privacy and Security Statement

    The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal law that, in part, requires group health plans to protect the privacy and security of your confidential information. As an employee welfare benefit plan under ERISA, the Baldwin County Public School’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will not use or disclose your protected health information without your authorization, except for purposes of treatment, payment, health care operations, EAP administration or as required or permitted by law. A description of the EAP uses and disclosures of your protected health information and your rights and protections under the HIPAA privacy rules is set forth in the plan's Notice of Privacy Practices, which is furnished to all EAP participants and can also be accessed on the EAP internet site at www.bcbe.org/HIPAAprivacy.
