    Name Description
    Newsela An instructional content platform that brings together engaging, accessible content with integrated assessments and insights to supercharge reading engagement and learning in every subject. Though most powerful as a digital platform, Newsela can be used without either devices or the internet with print options and offline access.
    NoRedInk No RedInk is an instructional resource designed to help students learn and practice essential elements of English grammar and elements of good writing. No RedInk also allows teachers to create and assign writing prompts, expanding assessment potential beyond grammar drills. NoRedInk helps teachers provide meaningful feedback to students to improve their writing skills. For students, No RedInk allows for some degree of personalization. Students can select their interests (sports, movies, TV shows, books, etc.) and then see passages reflecting these interests. When beginning a new topic, NoRedInk gives straightforward instruction and learning tips and then provides clear, easy-to-understand support as students build understanding. Students can easily monitor their progress and identify areas for growth.
    AP Classroom AP Classroom is a free online platform provided by College Board that enables students to use resources aligned to their AP courses which will help maximize student performance. Resources include topic questions, AP Daily videos, progress checks, and student data analysis.
    A+ College Ready A+ College Ready, a program of A+ Education Partnership, holds the unshakable belief ALL students can achieve at high levels. As such, it opens the door for middle and high school students in Alabama to reach their academic potential through access to Advanced Placement (AP) and other challenging coursework. This proven program partners with middle and high schools to develop a diverse pipeline of students prepared for success in college, career, and life. A+ College Ready's high-quality, content-specific teacher training and rigorous curricula are fully aligned to the Alabama Courses of Study and the College Board's AP requirements. We support 48 total courses in math, science, English, social studies, computer science, art, and Spanish, comprised of 29 non-AP courses and 19 AP courses.
    Discovery Education Discovery Education Experience is a comprehensive digital learning platform for PreK-12 students designed to engage them with real-world content and multi-modal instruction. The platform offers a variety of resources, including videos, books, virtual field trips, interactive content, pre-made lessons, and quizzes. It also provides intuitive teaching tools to support educators, such as cross-curricular strategies and professional learning resources. Additionally, the platform includes accessibility tools like text-to-speech, closed captioning, video transcripts, and enhanced text features. 
    DBQ Project The DBQ Project is utilized in middle and high school social studies courses.  DBQ activities are aligned to the standards for each course and help students understand the process of document analysis, integration of documents, and argument writing.
    Explore Learning Gizmos Explore Learning Gizmos are interactive online simulations and case studies for math and science that power inquiry and understanding through hands-on learning and experimentation. Gizmos cover STEM topics for grades 3-12, students can dig deeper into subjects and really understand challenging concepts as they form, analyze, and test ideas to find solutions, just like real mathematicians and scientists.
    IXL IXL is an online learning platform that consists of real-time diagnostic assessments that provide personalized analytics and action plans over numerous content areas and instructional domains. IXL provides adaptive practice and feedback for over 17,000 skills K-12 that are aligned to Alabama standards. Examples, feedback, lessons, videos, and self-scaffolding are built-in to support student learning. IXL is used by more than 15 million students in 70,000 schools across 45 states.
    Desmos Studio Desmos Studio provides a free suite of math tools, including an online Four-Function Calculator, Scientific Calculator, and Graphing Calculator, used annually by over 75 million people around the world. The Desmos calculators are embedded in Alabama's state accountability assessments such as ACAP Summative, PreACT, and the ACT. Desmos Studio is a Public Benefit Corporation with the goal of helping everyone learn math, love math, and grow with math.
    Desmos Classroom Desmos Classroom provides free digital classroom activities, thoughtfully designed by teachers for teachers, engaging students to interact with conceptual ideas. Those activities are guided by our our pedagogical philosophy and help students to explore concepts deeply, collaborate with their peers on problem-solving, and apply knowledge creatively as mathematicians.
    Progress Learning Progress learning is an online learning platform that consist of real-time diagnostic assessments that are aligned to Alabama standards. This platform allows for standards-based assessments and assignments with immediate progress monitoring and tools for remediation and intervention. 
    Scholastic Scholastic Guided Reading programs weave small-group instruction, assessment, and independent practice into the classroom to help students become independent learners. Additional education solutions are research-based resources to help students learn to read, including phonics and decoding skills, books and materials to build knowledge and vocabulary, and digital content to inspire a love of reading
    Sora Sora is an award-winning digital reading app that empowers K-12 students to discover age-appropriate ebooks, audiobooks and more from their school library. Backed by the largest, most diverse catalog of digital books available to schools, Sora provides students and educators unified access to curriculum titles, leisure reading, professional development books and the public library.
    New York Times The New York Times can help students and faculty explore and understand the world, consider a variety of viewpoints, and think critically — it’s knowledge they can apply in the classroom, and every part of life.
    Math Nation The Alabama Department of Education offers free access to Math Nation powered by Accelerate Learning. Thanks to funding from the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI), Alabama public schools have access to online and printed learning resources for grades 6-8 free of charge. Through AMSTI’s innovative partnership with Math Nation, Alabama students, teachers, and families can access Math Nation’s 6th-8th grade math resources 24/7 via the web, tablets, and smartphones. Math Nation helps students master math skills with personalized instruction from dynamic content videos led by “Study Experts”—and students can choose the Study Expert that best fits their learning style. In addition to videos, Math Nation’s resources include personalized remedial tools, digital practice tools, homework help and virtual tutoring, professional learning community resources for teachers, and family support videos.
